DIYARBAKIR, Turkey (Reuters) – Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militants staged an attack at a military base in southeast Turkey’s Siirt province, killing five Turkish soldiers and wounding seven, security sources said on Friday.

They said the attack occurred in the area of a military base in the Eruh district of Siirt. No further details were immediately available.
